recognized union or legal contract between spouses that establishes
rights and obligations between them, their children
and their in-laws.
There were two types in wedding systems in ancient period 1. Swayamvara and 2. Gandharva marriage.
In modern period marriage varies according to different culture , but principally an institutilon in which interpersonal relationships usually intimate is acknowledged .
After my uncle's marriage (15 yearsback) this is my elder sister's wedding (arranged marriage ofcourse) .... Arranged marriages are traditional in south asian society and continue to account for an overwhelming majority of marriages in the indian sub-continent ....
