POROTHERM Clay Building Bricks

 POROTHERM Horizontally Perforated Clay Bricks

POROTHERM HP

Under the brand POROTHERM, Wienerberger India has been producing Horizontally Perforated Clay Bricks since May 2009.These Clay Bricks are used for Non-Load Bearing partition walls or infill masonry.

Main Advantages:
  • 60% less weight than a solid concrete block
  • Compressive strength >3.5 N/mm2
  • Density of approx. 694 to 783 kg/m3
  • Large size & low weight
  • Excellent thermal insulation
  • Water absorption ~15%
  •   Thermal Insulation
Specially formulated insulating material gives it a ‘U’ Value* of 0.6 W/m²K , which results in superior thermal insulation that greatly improves the indoor comfort of the building.

    Energy Saving
Eliminates the cost for installing external insulation, cavity walls with external insulating membranes and reduces use of cooling devices such as A/C in hot climate and heaters during the cold climate.

    Healthy Living
100% natural clay product  with natural additives like coal ash, rice husk and granite slurry. No toxic or any chemical additives are used, thereby making it free from toxic gases and fumes that can cause allergies and other health problems.

    Light Weight and Faster Construction
60% lighter than conventional walling material, thus allowing faster construction, ease of handling and improved productivity in masonry. It also contributes to substantial savings on structural cost due to reduction in dead load.

    Natural and Green
Testified by the accreditation of our products by Indian Green Building
    Council for ratings.

    Strength and Ease of Usage
High compressive strength and is also easy to chase and chisel for electrical and plumbing conduits making it simple to install all types of fixtures (geysers, air conditioners, cabinets, closets etc).

Unlimited Life and Maximum Fire Protection
An exceptionally long life with zero maintenance and is highly fire
    resistant (it is fired at 1000ยบ C), with a fire rating of F240 ( 240 minutes ).
As a result
  • Reduction of dead loads
  • Saving on structural costs
  • Faster construction
